The exclusive 2026 “Year of the Horse” set consists of three coins featuring different artistic finishes: a classic silver Proof coin, a coloured Proof coin, and a partially gilded silver coin. Each coin is struck from 1 troy ounce of 99.99% pure silver, giving the set a total silver weight of 3 oz, or 93.30 g.

All three coins belong to The Perth Mint’s prestigious “Australian Lunar Series III”. The 2026 release is dedicated to the seventh sign of the Chinese zodiac—the Horse, which symbolises freedom, energy, independence, determination, and a spirit of adventure.

The reverse of each coin depicts a majestic mare with her young foal. The dynamic composition conveys the animals’ movement, grace, and free-spirited nature. The design is completed by the inscription “YEAR OF THE HORSE”, the year 2026, and The Perth Mint’s mintmark.
