100 Eur gold coin The red deer.

 One of the continent’s largest and most iconic land mammals, the red deer features in all its splendour on this coin.

The obverse of the coin was designed and engraved by mint engraver Helmut Andexlinger, depicting a powerful red deer. In the background - a swampy area, which is often visited by deer. In the foreground, Helmut added several stylized herbs and vixens to highlight the 3D effect of the coin. The coin bears the inscription Republik Oesterreich at the top, the year of issue 2013 and a value of 100 Euro.

Reverse depicts the deer with his cubs.
