The 2026 Nautical Ounce – Kruzenshtern silver coin is dedicated to the famous four-masted sailing ship Kruzenshtern. The coin is made of silver and contains 1/12 Troy ounce – 2.59 g – of pure silver.
The reverse of the coin depicts the Kruzenshtern sailing ship on the high seas. The detailed rendering of the sails, masts and hull lines emphasizes the classic aesthetics of historical sailing ships. The nautical composition is complemented by decorative elements of waves, navigation or other seafaring-related elements.
Kruzenshtern is a four-masted barque built in 1926, originally called “Padua”. The ship was later renamed in honor of the Baltic German-born seafarer and admiral Adam Johann von Krusenstern. Today, it is best known as a training sailing ship and one of the few surviving historic Flying P-Liner-class ships.
The coin belongs to the Nautical Ounce series, which presents famous sailing ships and symbols of maritime history. The
small 1/12 ounce format allows collectors to add to their collection at
a lower total price, and the Kruzenshtern motif gives the coin
additional thematic value.
The obverse features the symbols of the Republic of Rwanda, the face value and basic coin data. The coin is suitable for collectors of nautical themes, historical ships and light weight silver issues.
