The
Angel is an exclusive investment gold coin minted by the famous Royal
Mint of Great Britain. The coin contains one Troy ounce – 7.78 g – of
999.9 purity gold.
The reverse of the coin depicts the Archangel
Michael defeating Satan, depicted in the form of a dragon. A modern
interpretation of the historical motif was created by sculptor Sandra
Deiana. The composition is surrounded by the Latin inscription PER
CRUCEM TUAM + SALVA NOS CHRISTE REDEMPTOR, which means “Through your
Cross save us, Christ the Redeemer”. The reverse also uses a special
protective surface pattern that helps protect the coin from
counterfeiting.
The obverse depicts a portrait of King Charles
III, created by British sculptor Martin Jennings. The monarch’s name and
the coin’s nominal value are indicated around the portrait.
The
design of The Angel is based on one of the most famous historical
English gold coins. The first Angel coin was issued in 1465 during the
reign of King Edward IV and was one of the most important gold coins in
circulation in England for over a century. Historically, it has been
associated with symbols of protection, good luck and healing powers.
High-purity
gold, official British Mint approval, advanced security features and a
historically significant design make this coin attractive to both
physical gold buyers and collectors of rare coins.
