The exclusive 2026 “Year of the Horse” silver coin set is the seventh release in The Perth Mint’s prestigious “Australian Lunar Series III”. The set consists of three coins of different sizes: 2 oz, 1 oz, and 1/2 oz. All coins are struck from 99.99% pure silver to the highest collectible Proof standard. The total amount of pure silver in the set is 3.5 troy ounces, or 108.85 g.

The reverse of each coin depicts a majestic mare with her young foal, galloping energetically against a backdrop of mountains and lush meadows. The precisely struck details convey the animals’ movement, grace, and free-spirited nature. The composition is completed by the Chinese character for horse, the inscription “HORSE 2026”, and The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark.

The obverse of each coin features the effigy of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne, together with the face value of the respective coin. All three coins are official Australian legal tender. Their denominations are 2 Australian dollars, 1 Australian dollar, and 50 Australian cents.
