The obverse features a portrait of King Charles III by Dan Thorne, along with information about the issuing country, weight, gold purity, and face value. The design is surrounded by decorative ornamentation inspired by Australian flora and coral reefs.

The reverse, designed by Jennifer McKenna, depicts a panorama of the Australian Outback, with characteristic landscape features – sandstone rock formations, waterholes, and the rising sun. The design also features numerous species of animals typical of the region, including emus, eagles, dingoes, kangaroos, and a collared lizard. The design is complemented by the mintmark "P" and the year of issue 2026.
