The obverse of the coin depicts the official portrait of King Charles III, created by the British sculptor Martin Jennings. As the official currency of the United Kingdom, the coin has a nominal value, but its actual market value is mainly determined by the value of the silver and its collector demand. The coin is minted from 999 fine silver, contains one troy ounce of pure metal. Its nominal value is 2 pounds sterling and its diameter is 38.61 mm. The coin is made of investment grade Bullion quality and comes in an individual protective capsule. The legend of St. George symbolizes courage, determination and the victory of good over evil. This motif has become an integral part of English culture and one of the most recognizable designs on British coins. The reverse of the coin features a modern and dynamic interpretation of St. George fighting the dragon, created by designer Sandra Deiana. The composition marks the 500th anniversary of the 1526 anniversary of St. The image of St. George first appeared on the English coin George noble.
