An additional security feature confirming authenticity is a micro-engraved mark on the reverse, visible only under appropriate magnification.

Obverse: depicts the official effigy of King Charles III, created by Dan Thorne. Radiating lines are visible in the background, and the design is complemented by the inscriptions "CHARLES III AUSTRALIA", weight and silver fineness details and face value.
Reverse: depicts a finely detailed oriental dragon with outstretched wings, open claws and richly ornamented scales. The composition is completed by the year of issue and the mint mark.
