The reverse of the coin shows two hemispheres under a crown, next to pillars. The top center of the coin features the mintmark, a five-pointed star, the graphic euro symbol and the silhouette of a colonnade. Also at the top is the inscription - FELIPE VI REY DE ESPAÑA, the weight of the coin, the fineness and the name of the country are engraved on this side.
The obverse of the coin shows a Carthusian horse of the Spanish breed, next to it is the inscription CARTUJANO HORSE, the mint mark, the denomination of the coin and the year of coin minting.
