The portraits of the signatories of the Treaty of Elysée and their signatures are depicted on the coin in a reverse style, and between them the inscription - 50 ANS JAHRE, below - the year of the minting of the coin, on the top of the coin is engraved - TRAITÉ DE L'ÉLYSÉ, on the bottom - ÉLYSÉE-VERTRAG, mint mark, country code.
Obverse - 2 euro denomination.
