Investment gold
Investment in gold is considered one of the most stable ways to preserve wealth in the world. This precious metal has been valued for thousands of years and has maintained its worth throughout different economic periods. Investments in gold are regarded as one of the most reliable forms of investing.
Unlike many other investments, gold coins or investment gold do not generate direct profit. However, their main purpose is to protect capital from depreciation. For this reason, gold is often chosen as protection against inflation, economic instability, and the consequences of financial crises.
Investment gold is also highly liquid, meaning it can be easily bought, sold, or exchanged in many countries around the world. Its value is determined by the global market price, making gold a universally recognized asset.
EURODATA offers investment gold bars and coins, with a wide selection ranging from 1/1000 oz gold products to kilogram gold bars. EURODATA also buys back precious metals according to current market prices. More information can be found in the “Buyback Policy” section.
Why does investment gold remain one of the most stable choices?
Gold bars are physical gold packaged in sealed CertiCard protective packaging. All investment precious metal bars sold by EURODATA are LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) certified. These bars are made of pure gold (999.9%), making them an extremely reliable investment.
For centuries, gold has been valued not only as a precious metal but also as a way to preserve wealth. During periods of economic fluctuations, inflation, or geopolitical uncertainty, investors often turn to gold because it is considered a safe investment and has historically shown stability and resistance to market changes.
Unlike money, whose purchasing power decreases over time, gold is able to maintain its value in the long run. For this reason, it is often referred to as a “safe haven” for investors seeking to protect their capital from depreciation.
Over the past decades, the price of gold has risen significantly, making it not only a stable but also a potentially profitable long-term asset. Gold is also commonly used for portfolio diversification, as its value often moves in the opposite direction to stock or real estate markets.
It is important to understand that investment gold is generally chosen for long-term purposes. It is an asset that can be passed down from generation to generation and retain its value for many years. This is why many people see gold not only as an investment but also as a foundation of financial security for the future.
Investment gold online – convenient, fast, and secure
Buying gold online is becoming increasingly popular among people looking for a convenient way to invest in precious metals. An online store allows customers to quickly browse products, compare prices, and choose options that fit their needs and budget without leaving home.
By purchasing online, investors can monitor market price changes in real time and choose the best moment to buy gold. This provides more flexibility and helps make financially beneficial decisions.
It is also easier to explore different investment gold products online, such as bars, coins, or limited-edition items. Clear information about weight, purity, and manufacturer allows customers to quickly evaluate products and make informed decisions.
Another advantage is secure and convenient delivery. Purchased investment gold can be collected at a physical showroom or delivered with additional storage options available. This makes investing in gold simple, safe, and convenient.
Gold bars or coins – what should you choose?
When choosing investment gold, one common question arises: bars or coins? Both options have their own advantages, so the choice depends on your goals, budget, and investment approach.
Gold bars are usually chosen for long-term wealth preservation. They are valued for their simplicity, clear value, and lower premiums when purchasing larger weights. Investment bars are easily recognized on the international market and remain one of the most popular choices among investors.
Gold coins, on the other hand, often have not only investment value but also collectible value. Some coins stand out because of limited mintages, historical themes, or unique designs, making them attractive to both investors and collectors. Gold coins can also be meaningful gifts for weddings, christenings, anniversaries, or the birth of a child.
Both bars and coins are made of high-purity gold and are easily tradable on the global market. Investment gold remains a liquid asset that can be sold in many countries while following market price trends and choosing the most suitable time to sell.
Gold purity – what is important to know?
Gold purity indicates how much pure gold is contained in a product. The higher the purity, the greater the percentage of pure gold in the alloy. Different purities are used in investment gold and jewelry, so it is important to understand the differences.
Gold purity is often expressed not only in fineness but also in karats (K). Karats indicate the amount of pure gold in a 24-part system. The higher the karat number, the more pure gold the product contains. For example, 24K means almost pure gold, while lower karat numbers indicate a greater proportion of other metals added for durability, resistance, or color variation.
999 fineness corresponds to 24K gold, 916 to 22K, 900 to 21.6K, 750 to 18K, 585 to 14K, and 375 to 9K gold. The karat system is widely used in the USA, the United Kingdom, and other English-speaking countries, so jewelry often displays both fineness and karats.
999 fineness means pure gold consisting of 99.9% gold. This purity is most commonly used in investment bars and coins because its primary purpose is to preserve gold’s value as accurately as possible. Since pure gold is softer, it is less commonly used in everyday jewelry. Examples include PAMP gold bars, Valcambi gold bars, Argor-Heraeus bars, and Canadian Maple Leaf coins.
900 fineness means the product contains 90% pure gold. This purity is commonly found in older investment and historical coins. Additional metals provide greater durability, allowing coins to remain in good condition for many years. Examples include older American Eagle coins, French Napoleons, and Nicholas II rubles.
916 fineness consists of 91.6% gold and is highly popular in investment coins because the added metals increase durability and resistance to damage. Well-known examples include the South African Krugerrand and American Gold Eagle coins.
750 fineness means the product contains 75% pure gold. It is one of the most popular purities in high-end jewelry because of its rich color and higher gold value. It is commonly used in luxury rings, necklaces, and other jewelry.
585 fineness consists of 58.5% gold and is one of the most common jewelry standards in Lithuania and Europe. Due to the additional metals in the alloy, it is stronger, more resistant to daily wear, and more affordable. It is most often found in rings, chains, and earrings.
375 fineness contains 37.5% pure gold. It is a more economical option commonly used in simpler jewelry pieces. These items are stronger but have lower investment value because of the smaller gold content.
