The set of silver, colored, collector coins is dedicated to the Historic Trains. 1992 fourteen Ibero-American countries agreed to mint a common series of coins. The coins depict trains from seven countries: Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal and Spain.
The obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of the issuing country in the center. Around the coat of arms are the national coats of arms of the countries participating in this edition, in alphabetical order and clockwise: Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and Portugal.
The reverse shows a classic train from each participating country. The commemorative silver medal is included in the collection.
