The gold coin Noah’s Ark is an official investment coin issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, minted from 999.9 fine gold. The weight, fineness and minting quality of the coin are controlled and guaranteed by the Republic of Armenia. The reverse of the coin depicts the biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In the center of the composition, Noah’s Ark is visible, towards which a white dove with an olive branch in its beak is flying. In the background, the rising sun and Mount Ararat, which has great cultural and historical significance for Armenia, are depicted. The design is complemented by the name of the coin NOAH’S ARK, presented in Armenian and English. The obverse depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia. This side of the coin also indicates the denomination in Armenian drams, the fineness of the gold, the weight of the coin and the year of issue. The composition is surrounded by the name of the Republic of Armenia in Armenian and English. Noah’s Ark is one of the most recognizable motifs on Armenian investment coins. The biblical story and the image of Mount Ararat symbolize salvation, hope, renewal and peace.
