The Perth Mint minted 1/2 ounce 999.9 fine silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and has an unlimited mintage. The coin is colored, PROOF quality, on a card.

The reverse of the coin depicts an emu, koala and kangaroo with birthday attributes - cake, cupcakes, fruit and confetti. The coin also bears the inscription HAPPY BIRTHDAY, the year, weight and purity and the Perth Mint's P mark.
The coin features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III and the monetary denomination on the obverse.
