The reverse side shows the sculpture "Pieta" by sculptor Stanislovas Kuzma, a memorial to the defenders of Lithuanian freedom. Around the inscription 1991, JANUARY THIRTEENTH, 1996.
On the obverse, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania in a shield, with ribbons waving symmetrically downwards on both sides. The inscription LIETUVA on the top and 50 LITAS on the bottom.
